Marcos Santos officially becomes new Arema FC coach

Marcos Santos has been officially appointed as the new head coach of Arema FC — marking a fresh chapter for the Malang-based club ahead of the upcoming season.

The 46-year-old coach faces a new challenge — this is his first time coaching a club outside Brazil, his home country.

“I am happy to be here. I received news that Arema wanted me and I am pleased. I see Arema FC as a big team,” said Santos.

Before joining Singo Edan, Santos spent his entire coaching career in Brazil — his South American football experience is expected to bring positive changes to the team.
