Marco Bezzecchi admits benefiting from Bagnaia’s towing in German MotoGP practice

According to GPOne, Marco Bezzecchi acknowledged that his towing strategy behind Francesco Bagnaia helped him achieve positive results in the German MotoGP 2025 practice session at Sachsenring Circuit on Friday (11/7).

The Aprilia rider — who secured a Q2 ticket by finishing seventh — emerged as the best performer among his teammates.

“No, it wouldn’t have been the same without him,” stated Bezzecchi when asked about the impact of his fastest lap while following Bagnaia.

Interestingly, the towing strategy employed by this VR46 Academy rider actually produced better timing — compared to Bagnaia who had to settle for ninth position.
