Marc Skinner extends contract as Manchester United Women head coach Until 2027

Marc Skinner has officially extended his contract as Manchester United Women head coach until June 2027, with an option for an additional year, the club announced.

The 42-year-old coach — who made history by leading United to their first FA Cup trophy last year — also achieved success by guiding the team to a Women’s Super League runner-up finish and their first-ever Champions League qualification.

“It has been an absolute privilege to serve as head coach for this fantastic football club for the past four years, and I am delighted to be extending my time in the role for at least a further two years,” stated Skinner.

This season, United sits third in the WSL standings with defensive excellence — recording 12 clean sheets and conceding only 9 goals. The team has also advanced to the FA Cup semifinals to face local rivals Manchester City.

United CEO Collette Roche emphasized that building a successful women’s team is an important part of the club’s football-first strategy.

With Skinner’s extension, Manchester United Women—aim to further solidify their position as one of England’s top clubs.

The focus will be on securing more silverware, strengthening the squad, and continuing their development on both domestic and European stages.
