Marc Marquez’s Ducati dominance leaves Bagnaia struggling in 2025 MotoGP

Ducati Corse General Manager Luigi Dall’Igna still considers Francesco Bagnaia a key talent for the team — despite his performance decline in the 2025 season.

The factory Ducati team dynamics have changed significantly following the arrival of Marc Marquez as Bagnaia’s teammate — who has been with the team since 2021.

After eight race weekends, Valentino Rossi’s protégé has only managed to collect five podiums with one victory in the main races — falling behind Marquez who has secured six podiums and four wins.

The Spanish rider’s dominance is even more evident in sprint races — where he has won all but the British GP. Marquez now leads the 2025 MotoGP standings with 233 points — 93 points ahead of Bagnaia who sits in third position.
