Marc Marquez Reveals Secret Behind 2025 MotoGP Sprint Race Dominance

Marc Marquez, currently the leader of the 2025 MotoGP standings with 24 points after the first three rounds, has opened up about the secret behind his remarkable dominance in sprint races this season.

Six sprint wins in a row spark Marquez resurgence

The six-time MotoGP world champion has impressed not only in full-length races—where he won in Thailand, Argentina, and Qatar—but more notably in sprint races, where he clinched six consecutive victories from Thailand to France.

Despite finishing second in the sprint race at the British GP last weekend, Marquez remains the standout performer in the shortened race format.

“I modified pre-season training with more focus on time attacks for sprint race preparation,”
said Marquez, explaining the foundation of his recent success.

Qualifying strength supports sprint race superiority

Another key factor in Marquez’s performance is his strong qualifying record. He has consistently started from the front row, with the exception of the British GP. His ability to launch well and maintain speed in the early laps has given him an edge over rivals.

Currently, he holds a 15-point lead over Alex Marquez, showing a clear gap in sprint performance this season.
