Marc Marquez Responds to Excessive Expectations in 2025 MotoGP Season

Marc Marquez believes that public expectations for his performance in the 2025 MotoGP season are overly high — even as the Ducati Lenovo rider continues to return to his best form.

After enduring a difficult period with Honda from 2021 to 2023, the Cervera-born rider has bounced back, consistently competing at the front of the grid as he once did in his dominant years.

Overcoming injury and adversity

Marquez’s struggles began with the 2020 crash at Jerez, which led to a serious right arm injury and subsequent diplopia (double vision). Despite the setbacks, the Spanish rider has now fully recovered and is showing his true potential once again.

Dominant results in early 2025 season

So far in the 2025 season, Marquez has demonstrated excellent pace and control — winning three of six main races held. His performance in Sprint Races is even more impressive, with six consecutive victories, reaffirming his reputation as a top contender.
