Marc Marquez ready to reclaim Sachsenring throne at German MotoGP

The Sachsenring circuit will host the German MotoGP on July 11-13. Marc Marquez — now a factory Ducati rider — has the opportunity to reclaim his dominance on the 3.67-kilometer track.

The 31-year-old rider has an impressive record at Sachsenring — eight victories since his premier class debut about 12 years ago. His last victory at this circuit came four years ago while still riding for Repsol Honda.

The eight-time world champion had to miss Sachsenring due to several obstacles — the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and injury recovery process in 2022-2023. Last year, his teammate Francesco Bagnaia claimed victory at this circuit that has become Marquez’s favorite.

In this year’s race series, both Ducati riders will compete without the presence of Ducati Corse Manager, Luigi Dall’Igna, in the Sachsenring paddock.
