Marc Marquez Lucky at 2025 British MotoGP After Crash

Marc Marquez of the Ducati Lenovo team got lucky at the 2025 British MotoGP held at Silverstone Circuit — a red flag saved him from finishing without points after crashing.

The incident began when Aleix Espargaro from the Honda test team collided with Pertamina Enduro rider Franco Morbidelli, causing an oil spill on the track that forced the race to be stopped.

Marc Marquez briefly led the race after his brother, Alex Marquez, crashed at the first corner. However, he also crashed at turn 11 on lap two.

“Today, the Marquez family is the luckiest family. We made a mistake in the first race,” said Marc Marquez during the press conference.

“I didn’t do anything strange. Maybe I didn’t consider the wind,” he added, explaining the cause of his crash.
