Marc Marquez focuses on MotoGP title, not records after Brno domination

Marc Marquez strengthened his position in the 2025 MotoGP world championship battle with a dominant Czech GP victory — finishing 1.753s ahead of the Aprilia rider in second place.

The Spanish rider made history as the first Ducati rider to win five consecutive races, while extending his points advantage to 120 over his brother Alex Marquez who crashed following contact with Joan Mir.

“For me, the main priority and the only priority is to win the championship. I don’t care about the records,” stated Marc Marquez with 10 races remaining.

This season, the 32-year-old rider has shown dominance with eight GP wins and 11 sprint victories — demonstrating perfect adaptation to the GP25 machine since joining the factory Ducati team.

His journey toward a seventh title carries extra significance considering his lengthy injury period since the 2020 Spanish GP crash. After returning with satellite team Gresini last year, Marquez now stands in an ideal position to claim his first world title since 2019.
