Marc Marquez Faces Incident While Chasing Podium at British MotoGP

Marc Marquez of the Ducati Lenovo Team endured a dramatic race at the 2025 British MotoGP after suffering two crashes in a single event.

Red flag restart gives second chance

The chaos began with an oil spill that led to a red flag in the early laps. Once the track was cleared, the race resumed with 19 laps remaining. Marquez, who had crashed on lap two of the initial start, was given a lifeline and restarted from P4 on the grid.

Battling for the podium

The Spanish star surged forward and temporarily held third place behind his teammate Francesco Bagnaia. However, he was soon overtaken by Jack Miller from Prima Pramac Yamaha and Johann Zarco of LCR Honda.

In his attempt to reclaim a podium position, Marquez pushed hard to catch up with Zarco. But while entering a corner, he came dangerously close to disaster—his bike almost clipped Zarco’s rear wheel, forcing him to back off and lose crucial momentum.

Marquez’s title hopes face setback

With the British round ending in disappointment, Marquez’s aspirations for the 2025 championship took a hit. However, fans know the former world champion is never one to give up easily.
