Marc Marquez equals Agostini’s record with 94th victory in MotoGP

Marc Marquez achieved a remarkable feat at the Dutch GP — matching Giacomo Agostini’s record of 68 premier class victories, while marking his 94th win across all categories.

The 32-year-old rider has shown an impressive resurgence after enduring a difficult three-year period following an arm injury at Jerez 2020. After four surgeries and now with the Ducati factory team — Marquez is dominating in his pursuit of a seventh premier class title.

The Spanish rider’s journey began in 2008 in the 125cc class, followed by a championship in 2010 and success in Moto2 two years later. His MotoGP debut led to six world championships in seven consecutive seasons.

This season, Marquez has proven his prowess with six double victories from ten races. His recent achievements include his 93rd win in Italy and 94th at the “Cathedral” of Assen two weeks ago.

Marquez’s support team has evolved throughout his career — from Santi Hernandez as technical chief during the Honda era, to Frankie Carchedi at Gresini team, and now working with Marco Rigamonti at the Ducati factory team.
