Marc Marquez has displayed extraordinary dominance at the start of the MotoGP 2025 season, winning nearly every race across the first three rounds with Ducati.

Heading into the Qatar GP this weekend, the 32-year-old Spanish rider remains the firm favorite after a blistering run of six victories, including sprint races, aboard the Desmosedici GP25.

His only blemish so far came at the GP Americas, held at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, where the eight-time world champion crashed while leading the main race — a rare mistake in an otherwise flawless campaign.

KTM Tech3 team principal Herve Poncharal offered his perspective:

“The only one who can beat Marquez is himself, as we saw at GP Americas. Even his teammate Bagnaia struggles to challenge him this season.”

With his combination of raw speed, experience, and synergy with the Ducati machine, Marquez is emerging as the frontrunner for what could be his ninth world title — and his first with the Italian factory team.
