Marc Marquez dominates German MotoGP with double victory at Sachsenring

Ducati rider Marc Marquez achieved a remarkable double victory at the 2025 German MotoGP — consolidating his championship lead with an 83-point advantage over Alex Marquez and 147 points over Francesco Bagnaia.

In the sprint race, the Cervera native secured podium alongside Marco Bezzecchi from Aprilia and Fabio Quartararo from Monster Energy Yamaha — while Alex Marquez finished eighth and Bagnaia placed twelfth.

“Very interesting. We saw Marc Marquez who initially couldn’t find his rhythm, couldn’t flow,” stated Chico Lorenzo through his YouTube channel ‘Motogepeando’, as reported by MotoSan.

“He had to work to achieve that flowing condition, and at a certain point, he decided to overtake Bezzecchi. I really liked his overtaking move on Bezzecchi — if he planned it, it will go down in overtaking history.”

The Sachsenring race was marked by incidents at the first corner — six riders were involved in accidents at the location which, according to Chico Lorenzo, requires 45 seconds to control the bike after a series of left turns.
