Marc Marquez dominates Dutch MotoGP sprint race at Assen Circuit

Marc Marquez showed dominant performance in the 2025 Dutch MotoGP sprint race — the Ducati rider secured victory at Assen Circuit on Saturday (28/6). His brother, Alex Marquez, finished second, while Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi secured third position.

For Bezzecchi, this podium marks a special achievement — the Italian rider finally returned to the podium after his last appearance at Indonesian MotoGP 2.5 years ago. Fabio Di Giannantonio from Pertamina Enduro VR46 and Francesco Bagnaia from Ducati completed the top five.

Drama unfolded immediately at race start — Joan Mir from HRC Honda crashed at the first corner. Marc Marquez capitalized on this moment to surge from fourth position, passing Bagnaia and Alex Marquez to claim second place.

Competition intensified in the second lap when Marc Marquez took the lead from Fabio Quartararo who started from pole position. Bezzecchi then demonstrated his skills with a brilliant maneuver that pushed Bagnaia down to fifth position.
