Marc Marquez dominates Dutch MotoGP FP1 after suffering heavy crash

Marc Marquez demonstrated his resilience in the first free practice session of the 2025 Dutch MotoGP — the Ducati Lenovo rider set the fastest time despite experiencing a serious incident early in the session.

The Spanish rider crashed at 190 km/h at turn 15 — just eight minutes into the session. Despite being thrown into the gravel area, Marquez managed to get up and walk back to the pit with a slight limp.

Before the crash, the MotoGP championship leader only recorded a time of 1 minute 35.131 seconds. However, after returning to the track, Marquez managed to set the fastest time of 1 minute 32.389 seconds — 0.313 seconds ahead of Maverick Vinales from Red Bull KTM Tech3 team.

The early session saw riders posting times around 1 minute 34 seconds, before Vinales temporarily led with a time of 1 minute 33.182 seconds.
