Marc Marquez Defends Brother from Harsh Fan Criticism

Marc Marquez has taken a firm stance defending his brother Alex Marquez from sharp criticism circulating on social media. The criticism emerged following the sprint race at the Assen Circuit.

Critics questioned Alex’s racing intensity when facing his brother — an accusation that surfaced when Alex remained second behind Marc during the sprint race, despite appearing to have better pace.

This season has been Alex’s best with the Gresini Ducati team, yet his frequent position behind Marc has sparked speculation. The situation became more complex when Alex suffered a hand injury requiring surgery in Spain.

“I want to tell everyone that they need to respect all riders. Why didn’t Marco attack me today? Because on this very narrow track, you cannot attack the rider in front,” Marc stated firmly.

Marc Marquez emphasized that all riders on the grid have winning ambitions — a fact often overlooked by critics. He demonstrated that Alex’s difficulties were also experienced by other riders like Marco Bezzecchi under the same track conditions.
