Marc Marquez defends Alex over non-competitive accusations at Dutch MotoGP

Marc Marquez of Ducati Lenovo team takes a firm stance against criticism directed at his brother, Alex Marquez of BK8 Gresini Racing, following the 2025 Dutch MotoGP Sprint at Assen Circuit.

The Marquez brothers dominated the sprint race with a one-two finish — Marc leading while Alex followed at a 0.3-second gap.

Some observers criticized Alex’s racing style that appeared less aggressive while trailing his brother. However, Marc strongly refuted these allegations.

“People who say these things know nothing about motorcycles,” Marc asserted, referring to critics questioning his brother’s performance.

To strengthen his defense, Marc pointed to the British MotoGP Sprint — where Alex actually beat him in the battle for top position.
