Marc Marquez crashes during Dutch MotoGP FP1

According to MotoGP medical director Dr. Angel Charte, Marc Marquez experienced an incident during the first free practice session of the 2025 Dutch MotoGP at Assen Circuit.

The Ducati Lenovo rider lost control of his bike entering turn 15 — just seven minutes into the session. Marquez nearly experienced a high side crash but managed to avoid it, falling sideways with his left arm taking the initial impact with the asphalt.

After receiving treatment for over 15 minutes, the six-time MotoGP world champion returned to the track. Dr. Charte confirmed that Marquez only sustained minor bruising to his left arm — with no serious injuries of concern.

Remarkably, after returning to the track, the Spanish rider managed to set the fastest time in the FP1 session.
