Marc Marquez claims victory in Italian MotoGP sprint race at Mugello

Marc Marquez demonstrated his class at the 2025 Italian MotoGP sprint race at Mugello Circuit — the Ducati rider managed to recover from a poor start to claim victory.

Despite losing the lead after a slow start, the 32-year-old quickly returned to the front pack — proving his ability and experience as an eight-time world champion.

A family rivalry played out on the podium as Alex Marquez from Gresini Racing finished second, while Ducati teammate Francesco Bagnaia completed the podium in third place.

“I feel fortunate to have recovered from the poor start,” Marquez stated in front of Jorge Lorenzo.
