Marc Marquez claims dramatic Dutch GP victory after intense battle with Bezzecchi

Marc Marquez dominated at Assen Circuit to win the Dutch GP — withstanding constant pressure from Aprilia rider Marco Bezzecchi who finished second.

Marquez’s championship lead has now extended to 68 points after his brother, Alex Marquez, suffered an incident resulting in a left hand fracture.

Fabio Quartararo, who started from pole position, experienced a significant performance drop — only managing to finish tenth after losing the lead early in the race.

Competition intensified when Bezzecchi managed to pass Francesco Bagnaia for second position on lap eight. Drama unfolded as Alex Marquez was involved in an incident with Pedro Acosta that ended in a crash.

  • Maverick Vinales finished fifth
  • Fabio di Giannantonio secured sixth place
  • Franco Morbidelli seventh after serving a long lap penalty
  • Raul Fernandez eighth
  • Enea Bastianini ninth
  • Quartararo completed the top ten
