Marc Klok Nearly Missed Persib’s Liga 1 Title Moment

Marc Klok, captain of Persib Bandung, nearly missed the historic moment his team secured the 2024/2025 Liga 1 title. The humorous incident occurred while the squad was watching the match between Persik Kediri and Persebaya Surabaya at Graha Persib.

The 32-year-old midfielder admitted that he had left the venue and headed for the train station when Persik were trailing 1-3. He had even purchased a Whoosh train ticket to leave early.

However, after learning that Persik had come back to level the score at 3-3, Klok rushed back to rejoin the team. The draw was enough to crown Maung Bandung as champions with 64 points — 10 ahead of second-place Dewa United with three matches remaining.
