Manchester United’s dream ended in the 2025 Europa League final held at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin — repeating the fate of Bayer Leverkusen from the previous season.

Erik ten Hag’s side began their campaign with three group stage draws against:

  • Twente (1-1)
  • FC Porto (3-3)
  • Fenerbahce (1-1)

Led by Bruno Fernandes, the team bounced back with five consecutive wins — defeating PAOK, Bodo/Glimt, Viktoria Plzen, Glasgow Rangers, and FCSB — to finish with 18 points and secure third place in the standings.

In the knockout stages, the Red Devils were impressive, eliminating Real Sociedad, Lyon, and Athletic Bilbao. The Manchester side scored 19 goals in six knockout matches before falling short in the final.
