Manchester United have reportedly shifted their search for a new striker from Victor Osimhen to a forward from Ipswich Town, the current teammate of Elkan Baggott, ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are facing a crisis in their attacking department — their forward duo, Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, have fallen well below expectations throughout the current season.

The lackluster form in front of goal has heavily impacted the team’s results. Manchester United are currently languishing in 14th place in the Premier League and have already been knocked out of both the FA Cup and the EFL Cup. The Europa League remains their only hope of silverware this season.

In order to prevent a repeat of this situation next season, club management is reportedly planning to sign a high-quality striker during the 2025 summer transfer window.
