Manchester United Release Three Senior Players Including Lindelöf And Eriksen

Manchester United has made a major decision by not extending contracts for nine players — including senior players Victor Lindelöf, Christian Eriksen, and Jonny Evans.

Lindelöf, who joined from Benfica in 2017 — has recorded 284 appearances for the club. Meanwhile, Evans, who had two different spells at Old Trafford — has totaled 241 appearances since his debut in 2007.

Eriksen, who joined on a free transfer in 2021 — has scored eight goals in his 107 appearances, with his final goal coming from a penalty in the 2-0 victory over Aston Villa.

The club has also released six young players:

  • Hubert Graczyk
  • Jack Kingdon
  • Sam Murray
  • Tom Myles
  • James Nolan
  • Tom Wooster

Goalkeeper Tom Heaton, who has only appeared three times in four years — remains in discussions for his contract extension with the club.
