Manchester United attempts to outbid Arsenal in Viktor Gyökeres pursuit

According to A Bola, Manchester United has made a surprising move to hijack Viktor Gyökeres transfer negotiations from Arsenal — who were previously close to reaching an agreement with Sporting CP.

Arsenal had submitted an offer of €63.5 million plus €10 million in bonuses, but Sporting CP is unsatisfied with the bonus structure. Sporting wants more realistic and easily achievable bonus targets.

Meanwhile, Liverpool is fighting hard to retain Ibrahima Konaté from Real Madrid’s interest. The 26-year-old defender enters his final contract year — a situation making Liverpool cautious after losing Trent Alexander-Arnold to the Spanish club.
