Manchester City thrash Juventus in FIFA Club World Cup

Pep Guardiola praised Manchester City’s performance as they defeated Juventus 5-2 in the FIFA Club World Cup match at Camping World Stadium, Orlando.

City’s goals came from Jérémy Doku, Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Savinho, and an own goal by Pierre Kalulu — securing the European champions top spot in Group G.

“It has been a long time since we had a performance like this on and off the ball. The players were committed and we are happy to beat a top side,” said Guardiola.

The match marked Rodri’s return to the starting lineup after a nine-month absence due to a knee injury. Meanwhile, Erling Haaland, who came on as a substitute in the second half, scored his 300th career goal for club and country.

Manchester City will return to action in Orlando for their round of 16 match scheduled for next Monday.
