Manchester City Target Wirtz, Reijnders; Rashford to Barca?

Manchester City are preparing a major midfield overhaul, targeting two key players — Florian Wirtz of Bayer Leverkusen and Tijjani Reijnders of AC Milan.

Following a trophyless season, Pep Guardiola is planning to strengthen his squad with a budget of around £180 million. City are ready to offer James McAtee plus over £100 million for Florian Wirtz, though Bayern Munich are also interested in the 22-year-old.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford, currently on loan at Aston Villa, is in talks for a move to Barcelona. The 27-year-old forward is reportedly willing to reduce his £315,000-per-week salary to make the switch to Camp Nou happen.

Elsewhere, Bayern Munich veteran Thomas Müller is expected to continue his career in MLS after making his final appearance for the Bundesliga side. Inter Miami are reportedly targeting Ángel Di María on a free transfer to pair him with Lionel Messi.

RB Leipzig may also lose two of their rising stars — Benjamin Sesko and Xavi Simons — with several Premier League clubs set to battle for their signatures next season.
