Manchester City Officially Signs Tijjani Reijnders from Milan

Manchester City has announced the signing of midfielder Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan on a five-year contract. The Dutch international — who recorded the highest number of goals and assists for a midfielder in Serie A last season — will soon join Pep Guardiola’s squad.

The Citizens had previously brought in three new players:

  • Defender Rayan Aït-Nouri
  • Winger Rayan Cherki
  • Backup goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli

“I’m very excited to join Manchester City. City is one of the biggest clubs in the world, with the best manager, world-class players, and incredible facilities,” said Reijnders.

This new player will be available for the FIFA Club World Cup, where City will face Moroccan club Wydad AC in their opening match. Club chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak emphasized that this summer’s transfer activity will be very quick to prepare the squad for the tournament.
