Manchester City Reach FA Cup Final After Beating Forest

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City advanced to the FA Cup final after defeating Nottingham Forest 2-0 at Wembley — keeping their hopes alive to salvage a difficult season.

Currently sitting fourth in the Premier League, the team dominated from the start — with goals from Rico Lewis and Josko Gvardiol securing a convincing win.

Despite dealing with injuries to key players like John Stones, Nathan Aké, and Rodri, Guardiola found tactical solutions by deploying two midfielders as full-backs.

Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest came close with efforts that hit the crossbar and post — but Nuno Espirito Santo’s side failed to mount a significant challenge.

“This season hasn’t been good. We fell far behind Liverpool. But the damage will be minimal. Winning the FA Cup will not change the fact that this season has been disappointing,” said Guardiola.

Manchester City will now face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final next month — hoping to secure a title to salvage a challenging campaign.
