Manchester City announced a ticket price freeze for the 2025-26 season — a decision made following consultation meetings with supporter engagement groups.

The policy covers season tickets and Premier League match-day tickets — a move that comes after fan protests during last week’s game against Leicester.

Supporters staged a protest by remaining in the Etihad Stadium’s concourse areas for the first nine minutes — responding to the club’s partnership with a third-party ticket resale platform.

Seven City supporter groups had previously sent an open letter to the club — criticizing ticket price increases over recent seasons and concerns about local fans losing access to matches.

“The club would like to thank City Matters representatives for the feedback they provide on ticketing topics and for sharing a broad range of perspectives from the fans they represent,” stated the club’s official announcement.

As a result of these fan protests and the ongoing feedback—the club has decided to freeze ticket prices, signaling a commitment to listening to the concerns of the supporters and ensuring a more inclusive atmosphere for local fans.

The decision may also prompt other clubs to consider fan engagement more seriously when making ticketing decisions for the future.
