According to Bolasport.com, sixth-seeded Man Wei Chong/Tee Kai Wun — Malaysia’s last hope at Japan Open 2025 — had to acknowledge the superiority of the South Korean pair at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.

Third seeds Kim Won-ho/Seo Seung-jae managed to outperform the Malaysian representatives with dominance in the first game — securing a convincing 21-13 victory.

In the second game, Man/Tee showed significant resistance — managing to lead by seven points with a score of 13-6. After passing through a challenge moment that favored Malaysia, they extended their lead to 14-6.

Despite experiencing pressure when Kim/Seo narrowed the gap to 10-14, the Malaysian pair maintained their momentum — regaining the lead with a score of 16-10.
