Man Wei Chong responds to coach Herry IP’s championship target

According to NST, Malaysian men’s doubles pair Man Wei Chong/Tee Kai Wun have responded to the championship target set by coach Herry Iman Pierngadi.

“I have a personal target and hope that one of my men’s pairs can become champion in Japan or China,” Herry stated after a training session at Bukit Kiara.

The Man/Tee partnership has proven their capabilities by securing two BWF World Tour Super 500 titles this year — the Indonesia Masters 2025 and Malaysia Masters 2025.

Their compatriots, Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik, have also shown remarkable achievements by collecting three titles:

  • Asian Championships 2025
  • Thailand Open 2025
  • Singapore Open 2025

“We cannot focus too much on results,” Man Wei Chong emphasized in response to the coach’s target for the upcoming Japan Open or China Open.
