Man United and Chelsea consider Garnacho-Nkunku swap deal

The Telegraph reports that Manchester United and Chelsea are considering a player swap deal involving Alejandro Garnacho and Christopher Nkunku ahead of the 2025-2026 season.

While no official talks have taken place between the clubs — both players are reportedly open to switching sides.

Garnacho’s situation at Old Trafford has become complicated after his relationship with manager Ruben Amorim deteriorated — particularly following the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur a few weeks ago.

“I’m not ruling out leaving Old Trafford,” stated the former Atletico Madrid academy product after the 0-1 loss to Tottenham.

This statement was interpreted as a strong indication that Garnacho’s future at Manchester United is uncertain — opening the possibility for a swap deal with Chelsea’s Nkunku.
