Man Wei Chong/Tee Kai Wun Win Malaysia Masters in All-Malaysian Final

The dynamic Malaysian men’s doubles pair Man Wei Chong/Tee Kai Wun have been crowned Malaysia Masters 2025 champions, following a sensational victory over fellow compatriots Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur.

In a fiercely contested final of the BWF World Tour Super 500 tournament, Man/Tee displayed resilience and strategy to secure the title with a 21-12, 15-21, 21-16 scoreline — sealing their second major championship of the year.

Back-to-Back Wins Fuel Man/Tee’s Impressive Rise

This triumph marks Man/Tee’s second title in 2025, after their previous success at the Indonesia Masters, where they defeated Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto in another high-stakes match.

The Malaysia Masters title is especially meaningful as it ends the country’s 12-year title drought at this tournament — the last time being in 2013 by Goh V Shem/Lim Khim Wah.

“Very grateful to taste victory and stand on the highest podium in front of our own supporters,” said an emotional Man Wei Chong after the win.

A Proud Victory for Malaysia on Home Ground

Their achievement is being hailed as a new dawn for Malaysian badminton, especially with the duo emerging as the new face of the national team. Their chemistry, agility, and mental strength are being praised as keys to their success.

With the Paris 2024 Olympics cycle complete, this young duo’s rise could be central to Malaysia’s badminton hopes heading into the 2028 Games.
