Manchester City Officially Signs Left-Back Rayan Aït-Nouri From Wolves

Manchester City has announced the signing of left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri from Wolves for €37 million. The Algerian international left his national team camp to complete his medical examination and finalize the transfer.

Aït-Nouri made 135 Premier League appearances for Wolvesscoring nine goals and providing 15 assists. The 23-year-old becomes Pep Guardiola’s first specialist left-back since Benjamin Mendy’s departure two years ago.

“I am incredibly happy and honored to have joined Manchester City. City are one of the biggest clubs in the world and the chance to play for the club is a dream come true,” said Aït-Nouri.

“The Citizens” will begin their Club World Cup campaign against Moroccan side Wydad AC in Philadelphia soon — followed by matches against Al Ain from the United Arab Emirates and Juventus.

Along with Aït-Nouri’s arrival, City also announced the departure of goalkeeper Scott Carson. Despite playing only 108 minutes during his six-year career at City, Carson managed to win 11 trophies with the club.
