Man City officially signs Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Nypan

Manchester City has announced the signing of Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg — a player dubbed as The Next Martin Odegaard.

The Premier League champions have spent 15 million euros to secure the services of the 18-year-old midfielder. The Citizens have offered a five-year contract that will keep Nypan at the Etihad Stadium until 2030.

“I’m very happy and proud to have joined Manchester City. It’s a dream for every young footballer to be part of this club and join such a world-class group of talents,” said Nypan.

“I’m still very young and have a lot to learn, but the opportunity to be coached by Pep Guardiola, the best manager in the world, will help me become a better player,” he added.
