Malaysian women’s doubles coach stays calm amid Pearly/Thinaah contract deadlock

Malaysian women’s doubles coach Rosman Razak maintains composure amid the contract deadlock between Pearly Tan/M. Thinaah and the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM).

“If there are problems, I will voice them. However, so far, there are no issues. They remain focused and follow all my instructions,” states Rosman.

The world’s third-ranked pair continues contract negotiations with BAM since their previous agreement expired last December. The six-month process remains unresolved — both players seek improved terms.

BAM President Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz recently met with Tan/Thinaah at the Malaysian Badminton Academy, yet no agreement was reached. Zafrul hopes to conclude negotiations before the Japan Open tournament starting mid-July.

Amid speculation about Tan/Thinaah potentially turning professional, Rosman chooses to concentrate on his duties coaching Malaysia’s star duo.
