Malaysian doubles pair struggling to adapt to Herry IP’s training methods

According to New Straits Times, Malaysian doubles pair Junaidi Arif/Yap Roy King are facing challenges in adapting to the new training methods implemented by Herry Iman Pierngadi since his joining in February.

BAM Doubles Coaching Director, Rexy Mainaky revealed — unlike Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik and Man Wei Chong/Tee Kai Wun who have successfully adjusted — Arif/Yap are still struggling to follow the complex training patterns from the Indonesian coach.

“Arif/Yap initially found it difficult to understand Herry’s detailed tactical style,” stated Rexy.

This adaptation difficulty is reflected in their tournament performance — the young pair often exits in early rounds, unlike their teammates who show more consistent results.
