Malaysia U-23 defender ready to prove himself at ASEAN Cup 2025

Muhammad Ubaidullah Shamsul Fazili — Malaysia U-23 national team defender who will face Indonesia at ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 — is determined to silence critics who doubt his team.

The 21-year-old player acknowledges the difference in team composition compared to previous squads.

“There is indeed a significant difference compared to the previous squad that was filled with big names, but for me, that’s not an issue,” Ubaidullah told Berita Harian.

Despite his team being less known, Ubaidullah emphasizes their fighting spirit remains high.

“Maybe we’re not well-known yet, but our spirit remains high. We want to prove our capabilities and hope to silence the critics through our performance on the field, God willing,” he added.
