Malaysia Thrashes Vietnam 4-0 in 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers

Malaysia crushed Vietnam with a decisive 4-0 victory in the Group F match of the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers held at Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.

The match was tight in the first half — both teams failed to score until the halftime break.

Harimau Malaya looked different in the second half, netting four unanswered goals:

• Joao Figueiredo opened the scoring in the 49th minute
• Rodrigo Holgado doubled the lead in the 59th minute
• La Vere Corbin Ong added the third goal in the 67th minute
• Dion Cools closed the goal fest in the 88th minute

Vietnam’s coach, Kim Sang-sik, expressed his sympathy to the national team supporters after the heavy defeat.
