Malaysia takes early lead against Brunei in ASEAN U-23 Cup

Malaysia demonstrated complete dominance against Brunei Darussalam in their second Group A match of the 2025 ASEAN U-23 Cup at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta.

Muhammad Danish Syamer opened Malaysia’s scoring with a precise header in the third minute of the game. The advantage doubled when Nazry Aiman accidentally scored an own goal from Shafizan’s shot in the fourth minute.

Malaysia’s offensive continued until the 31st minute — Naqimi Azim delivered a precise lofted pass into Brunei’s penalty area which resulted in the third goal for his team.
