Malaysia national team under Peter Cklamovski’s guidance showed impressive performance — defeating Vietnam with a decisive 4-0 score in the 2027 Asian Cup Qualification match at Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

Harimau Malaysia is now strengthened by several naturalized players who form the team’s backbone:

  • Jon Irazabal from Spain
  • Facundo Garces from Argentina
  • Rodrigo Holgado from Argentina
  • Joao Figueredo from Brazil
  • Imanol Machuca from Argentina
  • Dion Cools
  • Paulo Josue
  • Gabriel Palermo

In the match against Vietnam, two goals were scored by new naturalized players — Joao Figueoredo in the 49th minute and Rodrigo Holgado in the 59th minute. With this new strength, Malaysia has a great chance to follow Indonesia in qualifying for the 2027 Asian Cup.
