Malaysia Reps Dominated the First Day of KWC 2025

Malaysia’s representatives – Nova Esports, Black Shrew Esports, and Alpha Gaming – have perfectly completed their first day at KWC 2025 in Saudi Arabia.

Except Nova, many have predicted BSE and AG to struggle on opening series against teams who had shown strong regional form. Ultimately, they proved the doubters wrong with convincing wins.

In Group C, Nova faced Twisted Minds, secured a quick 2-0 victory. Their only challenge came in the second game when TM matched them early on. However, the veteran strategy proved superior, allowing them to dominate key objectives later in the game.

The same group also saw BSE dominating Indonesia Kings Laga winner Kagendra by 2-0. While the first game was quite tough, BSE faced no difficulties in the second and finished it with a flawless 7-0 kill score.

The only match to go 2-1 was the series between AG and Filipino underdog A.C.T Esports. Both teams traded blows in Game 1 and Game 2, but AG eventually clinched the decider in under 10 minutes thanks to a smart draft strategy that left them untouched.

Nova and BSE will meet in the Group C Upper Bracket Final on July 18th to decide the first playoff spot, while AG faces OG, who surprised everyone by crushing Nongshim RedForce this evening.
