Malaysia rejects friendly match offer against Indonesia for upcoming September

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has decided to decline the friendly match offer against Indonesia National Team planned for FIFA Matchday September 2025.

Erick Thohir, PSSI Chairman, stated that Malaysia has their own considerations in arranging friendly match schedule — resulting in both parties failing to reach an agreement.

In response to the rejection, PSSI has taken swift action by appointing Kuwait and Lebanon — as Indonesia’s opponents for the upcoming FIFA Matchday window in September.
