Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) President Dato’ Mohd Joehari Mohd Ayub has shared the latest developments regarding the naturalization process of players for the Malaysia National Team ahead of their crucial match against Vietnam in the 2027 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers.

“One player has completed the documentation process, while others are still in progress,” stated Dato’ Mohd Joehari in a recent update.

The Harimau Malaya — as the Malaysia National Team is known — will host Vietnam at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur for the third match of Group F. In their previous encounter, Kim Pan Gon’s squad secured a 2-0 victory over Nepal.

Dato’ Mohd Joehari expressed his optimism that the player who has completed the naturalization process will be available to strengthen the squad when they face Vietnam in the upcoming match.
