Malaysia National Team Prepares Two Friendly Matches in September

The Malaysia national team has scheduled two friendly matches during FIFA Matchday September 2025 — facing Singapore and Palestine as part of their preparation for the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers.

This decision comes after Harimau Malaya withdrew from the CAFA tournament and declined a friendly match offer from Indonesia. Currently, Malaysia — ranked 125th in FIFA rankings — is focused on improving their position.

Coach Peter Cklamovski emphasized the importance of this preparation period for his team:

“October and November are very important for the team because of the (Asian Cup) qualifiers.”

These two friendly matches will serve as a benchmark for Harimau Malaya’s development before facing bigger challenges in the qualification tournament.
