Malaysia Masters Defending Champions Reveal Story of Unexpected Victory

Now ranked third in the world, the Malaysian married couple is preparing to defend their title at the upcoming Malaysia Masters 2025.

The Truth Behind Their Unexpected Win

“Honestly, we didn’t expect to win last year. We weren’t in good condition before the tournament. So, we told ourselves to just go there, fight hard, and not think too much about things,” revealed Lai Shevon during a practice session at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil.

Their victory last year also denied Rinov and Pitha their first BWF World Tour Super 500 title.
