Malaysia Aims to Enter FIFA Top 100 Rankings Within Three Years

Honorary President of Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), Tan Sri Hamidin Mohd Amin revealed an ambitious target to bring Harimau Malaya into FIFA’s top 100 rankings — a goal similar to Indonesia’s national team target.

“If all parties join hands and provide support, I believe it’s not impossible for us to enter the world’s top 100 in two or three years,” said Tan Sri Hamidin.

Under the leadership of Sultan Johir, Tunku Mahkota Ismail, Malaysia’s national team shows positive development by naturalizing several quality players:

  • Romel Morales
  • Rodrigo Holgado
  • Joao Figueiredo
  • Imanol Machuca
  • Gabriel Palermo

Tan Sri Hamidin emphasizes that ranking improvement efforts must be done consistently, considering other countries are also continuously strengthening their national teams.
