Luka Modric Arrives in Milan for Medical Tests

According to Milan News, Luka Modric has arrived in Italy for medical tests with AC Milan — marking the end of his illustrious 13-season tenure with Real Madrid.

The 39-year-old Croatian midfielder — who idolized Zvonimir Boban and supported Milan in his youth — is set to sign a one-year contract with an option for a second season.

During his Madrid career, Modric accumulated 28 trophies, including:

  • 6 Champions League titles
  • 6 Club World Cups
  • 5 European Super Cups
  • 4 La Liga titles
  • 2 Copa del Rey
  • 5 Spanish Super Cups

Milan’s new coach Massimiliano Allegri — who previously led the club to a Scudetto in 2011 — consulted with Carlo Ancelotti regarding Modric’s performance. Sporting director Igli Tare then secured the deal during a visit to Croatia’s training camp.

Modric’s final match for Madrid ended in a 4-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup semifinals — concluding the golden era of the 2018 Ballon d’Or winner.
