Luis Enrique warns of Messi threat ahead of PSG vs Inter Miami clash

Ahead of the Club World Cup round of 16 match against Inter Miami, Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique issued a serious warning to his team — not to ignore the threat from experienced players like Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets.

“Anyone who relaxes for 10 seconds in football already knows the consequences. They still have the same level and quality. I’ve watched Inter Miami’s last three matches — if we’re not able to press them, the situation will be difficult,” stated Luis Enrique.

The Spanish coach has experience managing all four players during his tenure at Barcelona from 2014-2017. He also previously worked with current Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano.

“Messi is the benchmark of the best football player in history, without a doubt. I was fortunate to see him do incredible things in training sessions — something that only a player with his qualities can do,” added Luis Enrique.

The winner of this match will face either Bayern Munich or Flamengo in the next round.
